Public Adjusting

Public insurance adjusting is a licensed profession in Texas, Florida and many other states. With the recent overwhelming acceptance of the NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners) Model Act by the vast majority of states, public adjusting is on it’s way to becoming a licensed profession in almost every state. A licensed public adjuster’s primary job is the evaluation, estimation, assessment and active management of insurance claims on behalf of the policyholder.

Morrison & Morrison, Inc. works with the policyholder to present to the insurance company a complete analysis of the loss suffered. Thereafter Morrison & Morrison, Inc. acts as an advocate for you, the policyholder in recovering full payment you are entitled to for your claim. Morrison & Morrison, Inc. relies on a team of trained professionals as a support staff that includes in some cases in house counsel, engineers and professional estimators.

The use of a public adjustor is a prime option because of their expertise in insurance policies, coverage issues and property damages. Public adjusters generally work on a contingency basis with compensation coming only through their performance. The fees charged are generally a small percentage of the total claim and are not paid until initial funds are issued by your insurer. This translates to no up front costs for the policyholder.  Additionally, and very importantly, the total claim recovery will usually be greater when utilizing a quality public adjuster.
