Claim support is the process of providing factual grounds for the damaged items claimed. This involves not only demonstrating that the items claimed are damaged, but also what is the correct method to put the property back into an equal condition prior to the loss. Claim support also entails proving the value of the damaged property. Often times a contactors opinion of damage is simply not enough to support values and insurers are requiring more documentation to support pricing than ever before.
